Is The Tingling, Numbness Felt In The Foot A Cause Of Concern?

Hi, I am Yvonne aged 47 and the past 2-3 weeks I am experiencing tingling, numbness in my right foot predominatly but also my left and a little tingling in my fingers. I have not been able to drive a car for the past 2 weeks because of no feeling in foot. When I am walking it is fine, but just relaxing and then the pins and needles/dead foot feeling arrises. Is it serious ?
thanks
