Is The Urinalysis Report Of RBC 11-15 And Epithelial Cells 11-15 Abnormal?

I just looked up the lab results from a urinalysis done 2/12/1 and the report says RBC 11-15, Epithelial cell 11-15, mucus threads - moderate, ketones - trace and occult blood - trace. I haven't heard back from the dr who ordered these labs. should i be pressing to see him or a urologist?

Hi Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern...
Yes urinalysis report of RBC 11-15/ HPF and epithelial cells 11-15/Hpf is abnormal. Your Urinalysis report shows presence of 11-15 red blood cells, 11-15 epithelial cells, moderate quantity of mucous threads under high power field of microscope. Normally these are found in trace number in urine. Trace quantity of ketones & occult blood was also found. Presence of bacteria or pus cells was not mentioned.
This Most commonly shows urinary tract infection(UTI) in you. This could also be due to urinary tract calculus or stones which got passed in urinary tract causing injury to urinary tract & therefore high number of red blood cells & epithelial cells came in urine.

You should consult a urologist
Hope this information helps
