Is There A Chance To Reduce The Effectiveness Of Microgynon By Trimethoprim ?
hi i have been taking microgynon for 7 years. I took 3 days of trimethoprim for a uti but took the first dose on the 1st day of my pill free week. I had sexual intercourse 2 days before i started trimethoprim. Is there a chance the trimethoprim has reduced the effectiveness of microgynon?

The pill free period is the time you have your periods. During this period chances of getting pregnant is almost negligible. Also, since you started trimethoprim after you finished your pills, so there is almost no chance of its failure. rest assured.
