Is There Any Benefit Of Taking Shingles Shot?
I am trying to decide if i should get the shingles shot since it is so expensive, and i know it doesn't prevent the shingles.
is there a real benefit to taking it, my doctor said he didn't know if it helped or not, his wife has had the shingles 3 times

Hi...by what you quote about shingles shot I assume that it is vaccination for chickenpox. I advice you get the vaccination if you had not got chickenpox as a kid. Because as the age progresses the complications of chickenpox especially encephalitis are more common when chickenpox comes. It is true that it wont prevent shingles. I suggest you take the shot...the course is 2 shots 3 months apart.
