Is There Any Concept Of Painless Vaccination For Children ?

My baby child is 80 days old...vaccine administered 2nd dose- dpt 3 in one, ie- dpt+ opv+HIB.... is there the concept of painless vac, what is indicative price in Pune...... Also as this may come under Govt Aid Programs, then why the high price

The painless vaccines available at present are OPV-oral polio vaccine and Typhoral -it is for typhoid otherwise all vaccines are in form of injectables so they do cause pain to your child but there is no choice at least at present.
Presently under Govt Aid programme in India there are limited vaccines available like :-
BCG-for TB
OPV-for polio
DPT-for diphteria;tetanus;and polio
All other vaccines like Hepatitis-B;Tripacel a vaccine similar to DPT (but with no fever which comes with DPT);MMR;Hepatitis-A;Chickenpox and many such vaccines are not available in Govt Aid so they are manufactured by private pharma companies and are marketed in retail market so they are expensive to the patients.Hope in coming years the Govt policies will improve more and you will get a better healthcare system till then we all have to bear with it.
