Is There Any Effective Treatment To Find Sperms In The Testicle For IVF Or ICSI?
hello,i was born in 1983 with bilateral undescended testicles,i did orchiopexy when i was five yesrs old,the Dr said he couldnot find the left testicle and the right testicle couldnot reach the scrotum,a month ago i did laproscopy, they removed the left testicle and the right testicle is just above the penis.the biopsies of both testicle gave "germinal cell aplasia",i would like to know is there any effective treatment to find sperms in the testicle to be used later for IVF or ICSI?..thank you..Ali(email: YYYY@YYYY )
Hello Thanks for query . You were born with bilateral undescended testicles and Orchiopexy was done on Rt side and testicle was placed in Inguinal canal .Subsequently Lt testicle has to be removed microscopically as it was located in abdomen .
The biopsy of the Testicles have revealed absence of Spermatogenic activity in Rt Testicle .
In view of absence of spermatogenesis it is not possible to get live active sperms from your Rt testicle for IVF or ICSI.
Unfortunately there is no effective treatment to stimulate spermatogenesis as the testicle has already been atrophied .
