Is There Any Link Between Positional Vertigo And Dix Hallpike Test Being Positive?
Hello. I have had bppv like symtoms for almost 5 years. Ive had all of the inner ear tests and none show inner ear damage or hearing loss. Its positional vertigo and i did test positive on the dix-hallpike test. Ive also been diagonsed with hypothyroidism. Any link?
To confirm the diagnosis of BPPV is tested by Dix-Hallpike test. Use tablet Vertin 16 mg for five days. Use epleys maneuver to relieve symptoms. Avoid high risk jobs like driving and climbing polls etc. If symptoms have not improved, please consult with your ENT specialist he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
