Is There Any Other Option Other Than Medicine To Treat Mild Infarction With History Of Heart Attack?
I had a heart attack ;last Thursday. A mild infarction with no permanent damage - enzymes don t even show it. They gave me a clot-buster then life-flighted me to EIRMC for a stint. Atherosclerosis Runs in the family. Now, I have something in me that has changed my life forever - I have to take Plavix everyday along with an aspirin to keep the stint open. I am firmly against taking Pharamceuticals. If I had been at home when this happened, the ambulance would not have been called - I m sorry that it was. I will not live that way - an invalid. BUT, my blood pressure has never been high and this doc has written me Atorvastatin, Metoprolol and Linsinopril too. I have an aversion to taking things that are going to make me feel more depressed, sicker and have no energy - which was what happened when I took Crestor. I don t think I need any of these drugs to stay alive except the Plavix - and I ll take the aspirin - but I m not going to take these other drugs. My brother wants me to see a shrink. What do you think?
So i also suggest that it's necessary for your health to take all this medication. Also depresion is one of the complication of heart attack. So a psychologist may help to deal with that.
Hope i answered to your query. Dr. Benard

Hi, I read your query very carefully. All this medicines are to protect you for further complications of Ischemic heart disease and atherosclerosis (such as heart failure, future myocardial infarction, cardiac arrhythmia ect.) So i also suggest that it s necessary for your health to take all this medication. Also depresion is one of the complication of heart attack. So a psychologist may help to deal with that.
