OBGYN 's  Response
It is very unlikely that she is pregnant as she took the pill in time to prevent pregnancy. Sometimes the pills can cause an irregular period as well. However, if this pain does not resolve, she should see a doctor to make sure she isn't pregnant, or there could also be another cause for the pain she is having. Abdominal pain can have many causes, and they are not all related to gynecologic problems. Leg swelling can also be due to many things, so she should see her doctor. I hope this helps answer your question, please let me know if you have any more questions.
