Is There Any Relation Between Malonic Acid & Methylmalonic Acid?

Dear Dr. I got malonic acid, methylmalonic acid and GA1 metabolites with significant fold elevation in urinary organic acidogram. Is there any relation between these metabolites? Is there any GA1 cases malonic acid and methylmalonic acid are elevated?

I really appreciate your concern and I would say that this academic type of query and for that your question should be valid, Malonic acid and Mehtylmaloic acid are co-enzyme link plays the role in certain neurological functions and this can be seen in urine analysis even in the normal subject in reference range, if you are taking about the particular genetic type of disease like GA1 then chance of elevation of this metabolite is likely because these co-enzyme link molecules, hope this information helps you, take care and have a nice day.
