Hi,

Yasmin is a combined oral contraceptive containing both estrogen and progesterone. Nausea, vomiting, bloating, breast tenderness, fluid retention, edema and mood changes are some of the side effects of the drug. These symptoms may not occur in all women and will reduce in the subsequent cycles after your body adjusts to the newer hormone levels.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
