Any Suggestion For Having Irregular Periods?

When should you see a doctor for irregular periods and what is likely to happen in the appointment. I have had irregular periods for the last 4 years ranging from 2 weeks apart to 3 months apart. Light spotting between periods. Headaches. Dizziness. I had my first period 9 years ago. Thanks

Hi,

The period irregularity you have seems to be due to hormonal imbalance which can be due to pituitary, thyroid, ovary problem like PCOD. You need to get a detailed history of your problem, detailed physical examination and needful investigations to pin point cause. This can then be followed by cause specific treatment. Please consult a gynecologist or endocrinologist.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
