Is There Any Specific Food Groups (proteins, Gluten, Dairy) That Cause An Adverse Reaction To The Digestive System?

My husband has been on Votrient for 90 days after 2 rounds of Sutent. We never had serious diarrhea problems with the Sutent and the Votrient has almost made him want to stop eating. Have you heard of any specific food groups (proteins, gluten, dairy) that cause an adverse reaction to the digestive system? No nausea, some gas and lots of gurgling.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, thank you for posting.

I have gone through your query and I understand your concerns.

Adverse reaction to the digestive system is caused by milk and eggs.
Adverse reaction is also caused by lactose(sugar present in milk) intolerance.

Allergy caused by milk and eggs causes these symptoms: cramps, itchy skin, shortness of breath and nausea.

Lactose intolerance causes: bloating, diarrhea, abdominal pain, vomiting and gurgling.

Contact your gastroenterologist.

All the best.
Dr. Behar.
