Hi ,
Thanks for asking query ,
Firstly please specify the age it helps in giving treatment advice.
There are many treatment options available but they will depend upon amount of tooth distructed, tooth respond to sensitivity change , tooth colour change.
In your case it seems that your having fracture involving enamel , dentin and pulp ,you should go to dentist and have the xray done and go for rct followed by creamic crown prosthesis.
hello get a radiograph done and find out if the pulp is exposed or not 1.if its exposed get a root canal done and have capping done 2.if pulp not exposed then a simple crown will do the needful hope that helps
hi... thanks for the query... YES... there is definitely treatment for broken tooth... depending upon the amount of tooth lost, there are different treatment options... if small part is lost, it will just require tooth colored restoration... if more than half of the tooth is lost, it will require root canal treatment and restorations (post and core or other options) after that... hope it will help... take care...
Hi, Thanks for the query, There are different treatment options for broken tooth, but the thing matters is how much tooth structure is left, pulp is invovled or not, discoloration of tooth etc. If tooth is slightly broken without involving pulp then composite build up can be done. If tooth is half broken i.e. involving pulp then root canal treatment treatment is done followed with a crown. Consult dentist for thorough clinical and radiographical examination of tooth then only specific treatment is advised. Take care
hi yes there are many treatments for your problem and dear this a common problem.the treatment depends on age, amount of tooth broken an when , i mean how much time before you seek the treatment. to make it equal with other teeth we usually perform root canal treatment and then placement of crown in case of a dead tooth. if tooth is living we try to save it by avoiding root canal treatment if possible. but actually if it is half broken we have to opt for rct. age of the patient is considere to confirm the complete calcification of roo of the tooth. hope my answer will help you
HI MALLIKARJUN,
Thanks for writing in.
To make the broken tooth equal to other tooth, the broken tooth has to be evaluated clinically as well as radiologically.
This will help to rule out any pulpal or periapical involvement if occurred.
If so,root canal treatment has to be done prior to recontouring the broken crown of tooth.
The broken crown has to be corrected using porcelain crown/veneering/composite restoration depending on the severity of involvement of fracture.
Please do visit your dentist for further reference.
Take care.
Trauma to a tooth will lead to pulp tissue death gradually, even after treatment.
So i would suggest you in your case tooth is already half broken, you should visit an endodontist at the earliest and get the root canal treatment done of the same tooth and crown of the same tooth after treatment.
This is the best option of treatment in your case.
Hope this will be helpful.
Take care.

Hello and Welcome to HCM,
Thanks for writing to us.
It depends on where in the tooth it was fractured. If the pulp is exposed (a small dot that looks like a drop of pink blood) then you will likely lose the tooth. Many time we have to do root canals then. If the pulp is not exposed then the tooth can be reconstructed to look almost like new with a procedure very similar to putting on 'caps'.
Either way you need to be seen by a dentist in a relatively short amount of time. If the tooth is causing you pain you can buy over-the-counter tooth sealant until you can be seen by a dentist which will help.
Hope this helps you.
Wishing you good health...
Regards.
Hi
Welcome to HCM
I would like to tell you that treatment for half broken front teeth depends on its clinical evaluation.
If it does not involves pulp then it can be treated with composite filling. But if pulp is involved then you need to go for root canal treatment followed by capping.
Consult your dentist for further treatment.
Take Care

Hello,
Thanks for writing to us.
For the broken tooth you need not always go for a crowning. These days there are very good composite materials with ceramic fillers for building up of the broken portion in the same colour. If used carefully these materials last for many years. Get an x-ray done to see if the tooth is healthy from inside.
Hope this helps you.
Wishing you good health...
Regards.
Hi ,
Thanks for asking query ,
Firstly please specify the age it helps in giving treatment advice.
According to your clincal symptoms i would suggest you to visit the Dentist and get the checkup done, take an x-ray of the tooth, depending upon the x-ray you can go for composite restoration of the tooth or if the infection or pain can go for root canal treatment followed by prosthetic crown placement.
Maintain a good oral hygiene.
Use antiseptic mouthwash gargles twice daily.
hello, yes there are many treatment options available, depending on history of trauma, color change of tooth and amount of tooth structure fractured..
if ur tooth is recently traumatised and there is no clinical pulp exposure- composite restoration will rebuild the tooth to its original size and color.
if ur tooth was traumatised in past that leads it tooth discoloration and there is pulp exposure- then the root canal treatment of the involved tooth is done first later crown -All ceramic/ PFM is given to rebuild tooth to original size and color.and If your tooth radiograph shows complete calcification of canal with no periapical pathology then Crown can be given directly to the tooth..
dont worry.. treatment options are plenty.. and ur clinical and radiographic- IOPA examination will decide course of treatment.. and you will soon have perfect smile..
take care.. and maintain your oral hygiene..
hello mallikarjun,
yes treatment is possible for half broken tooth.as you said, you have half broken tooth,it means it includes the damage og enamel, dentin and pulp.
so i will suggest you please go to an endodontics and go for root canal treatment of the same tooth followed by crown placement.for front teeth i will suggest you go for ceramic crown.because ceramic crown looks like tooth,so it is good for esthetic purpose.after getting this treatment your tooth will look as it was earlier.and please follow all the given instructions properly.
take care
