Is There Any Treatment Other Than Surgery For Leg Pain?

Hi, I have right side leg pain for a while. AFter consulting with orthologist and mri scan it says, Diffuse annular disc bulge at l5-s1 level causing compress of thecal sac and existing nerve roots bilayetrly. Doctor suggests surgery. But I don t want to go with surgery. Can you light some other treatment to cure. Thanks Vijay

Hi,
From history it seems that you are having pressure symptoms on nerves giving rise this problem.
If there is more problem or risk of having nerve injury is likely, go for surgery.
Consult Neuro surgeon and take his opinion.
Physiotherapy, lumbar traction and short way diathermy will be helpful.
Avoid weight lifting, and bending forward.
Ok and take care.
