Is Thickening Of Skin In The Breast Which Had Lumpectomy Previously A Matter Of Concern?
My tests yesterday on my breast which had a lumpectomy in 2000, is now the skin is thickening, the ultrasound showed it and the doctor isn't sure but something is going on there and my beast is shrinking. She is sending me to a breast surgeon for biopsy of skin...is the thickening of the skin something really to worry about?
Hi...it all depends upon the previous condition for which lumpectomy was done...what was the histopathology report of the excised tissue? It it was benign then this is not related to it...otherwise it could be a recurrance...
