Is This A Bruised Bone Caused Due To Tripping And Hitting On The Knee Which Hurts When Pressure Is Applied?

About 3 weeks ago, I was getting on the school bus and I tripped and hit my leg on the stairs. It didn't leave a bruise or anything, but whenever I touch about halfway below my knee it hurts and when pressure is placed on it it really hurts. It doesn't hurt when I walk or anything, but if I were to jump I would feel a slight pain. Besides that, only when I touch it or pressure is put on it, it hurts really bad. So I was just curious if this was just a bruised bone or something more serious?

Hi. Looks to be not so much to worry about , as you can walk pain-free. The pain on touching and on pressure is exactly due to what you have already mentioned, a bruised bone . Even a very small collection of edema or blood under the bone covering can cause this . As you have said , there is small pain on jumping better to have X-ray of the affected part , just to corm that there is no hairline fracture.
