Is Thyroid Causing Difficulty In Losing Weight?
good morning Dr.
my name is Geny , i am from Cairo , Egypt . my problem is that i used to have the gland thyroid ( hyper ) from about 6 years and i started to take medicaion for about 4 years ( Neomercazole + indoral ) than it is gone and i stopped taking the medication from 2 years now , but since i stopped taking it i began to gain weight very fast and even if i decide to follow a certain diet programm i fail and i can't loose even half pound of it , so plzz help and advice ..

For the last two years, you are not using any medication for thyroid. Please go for competing for a thyroid profile. Then only we can know your thyroid status and start treatment. Usually unexplained weight gain is because of hypothyroidism. With the reports, she meets a general physician for further management.
