Is Tricuspid Flow Rate Of .94 A Cause For Concern?
I had a Nuclear stress test today. I didn t get results back yet but I did look at them. What popped out at me was my Tricuspid flow is .94 and know that .3 - .7 is normal. My question is... How high does it have to go in order for them to want to do surgery? I cant find a scale online any where. So I do not know if it goes over 1 or what. Thank you
Though the flow is higher and may be due to tricuspid regurgitation which should be evaluated for the cause Including endocarditis to any pulmonary or lungs related cause. Also, pulmonary artery pressure should be evaluated for any chronic pulmonary embolism or other causes of pulmonary hypertension. The decision of surgery is made if it's clinically troubling your routine or repeatedly causing feet swelling or difficulty breathing etc.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
