Is Twitching After Fainting A Cause For Concern?

My son fainted today during band pictures AND while wearing the full band uniform. It is very humid and hot today. He did not have water while outdoors and waiting for over an hour for band photos, so yes this seems like the perfect storm for one to fain. I am told that when he fainted and was on the floor he twitched a few times. He woke shortly afterwards--should I worry about the twitching? He s alright now, except I worry about the twitching, which has not ever happened.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello. This wasn't a grand mal seizure--more likely just an electrolyte imbalance--a bit like heat exhaustion. He should be fine with plenty of electrolyte-rich fluids like GatorAde and juices.
