Is Weight Loss Safe After Suffering From Polydipsia In An Obese Person?

I m 32 yrs old obese, my weight was 120 kg approx 2 mth back, hypertensive from 10 year taking amlodipine and atenolol. From last one month I m feeling that I m losing weight. I had complain of polydipsia, and I used to pass urine 3- 4 times in night. I m suspecting that I had developed diabetes. I m happy with my weight loss. Is this weight loss right or I should start medication .
