Is X-ray Required For Back Pain Caused After An Injury?
I slipped on my stairs during A snowy day and fell on my back and then slide down the rest of them, then I was going outside my front door and slipped again hitting my back in the same place, it hurts to lay down certian ways and to twist my back to the side and walk sometimes, so I need to go get x rays?
Hello and welcome to HCM, Trauma to back can cause injury to bones and soft tissues. Pain in back on lying down is expected and it is due to soft tissue injury. Trauma can lead to muscular injury and thus pain. Injury to the spine has to be ruled out. Thus, a X-ray of the spine should be done. Treatment of back pain in case of soft tissue injury is conservative consisting of rest and painkillers. I suggest you to consult your primary healthcare provider for clinical assessment, investigations and thus treatment.
