Itchiness In Breast, Lump In Breast Tissue Due To Gynaecomastia. Should I Seek Help Immediately?

Hello

I am a 77 year old male. I was diagnosed as having gynaecomastia 18 months ago in my left breast. I had various tests, x-rays , and sonic tests and was told that there was no immediate danger. In the last week or so for the first time I have developed an intense itchiness in the same breast. I cannot feel a lump in the breast tissue. Is this itchiness a worrying sign or something to be expected. I would normally see my GP about the issue but I am off to Australia for two months and so will not be able to seek advice until I return. Can I afford to wait until I get back or should I seek help whilst away? Regards and thank you, David Johnston.

Hi, Mr.David,Welcome to Health care magic forum.
You are aged 77 years, and was told, you got gynacomastia. At this it is common to have a change like this due to accumulation of the fat, and not being moved from there.
You had itching, and how is it now, whether to the complete surface, or a part of it.
There may be a possibility of developement of the malignancy, but the itching may not have any relation.
It may be due to stretching of the skin in that area or a fungal infection.
Any how as for as your description concerned there is no hurry to run to a doctor, unless you have some unbearable pain.
But get it checked periodically. Thank you.
