Itchy Feet, Blotchy Rash On Whole Body, Ears, Foot Swollen. What Could Be The Cause?
Itchy feet around 1am . By 4:30 am noticed blotchy rash on arms and chest. By 5pm unbearable itching and blotchy rash on whole body. Ears bright red and swollen. Left foot and right hand are swollen. Skin is hot to touch. Adult male patient says he feels like he is getting the flu.

sudden onset of itching and blotchy rash suggests allergic etiology rather than flu or similar pathology. It could be related to the food or medications. Antihistaminics are generally suggested drug for such reactions, however, the culprit should be looked for and best avoided.
