Itchy Leg, Purple Bruising Under Skin. Advise?
basically i was in work the day befor yesturday and the top of my leg was itchy and annoying ... later on in the day i went home and put a different pair of troussers on and i notices like a few specks and bigger specks of purple bruising under the skin its only on the top of my leg.. i got that worried i thought i had meningitis .. i dont the glass test and they didnt dissapear i got really freaked out... i rang a doctor she asked me if i am having any symptoms like asking if i felt sick or what ever and i said noo .. i feel totally fine in myself they are just worrying ...could you tell me what it could be ? thankyou

Hi, purple bruising on the top of your leg which is itchy can be due to a condition known as lichen planus which is an autoimmune disorder.It may be associated with lesions also in the mouth and the nail.A dermatologist needs to confirm the diagnosis by examining you clinically and with a biopsy.Topical application of short course of steroid may be useful.
