Itchy Rashes On Leg And Around Vagina, Blue Star Ointment
I have an itchy rash in my bikini are- the fold of my right leg and the side of my vagina . I also have what appear to be ringworms under my breast . I ve used blue star ointment and that s dried up the areas under the breasts, but the vagina area is really worrying me. I don t have insurance, so hopefully I can buy something over the counter?
Hi, body areas especially under the breasts, bikini area and side of vagina have a tendency to become moist due to sweat and thus get prone to persistent or repeated fungal infections. Antifungal medication in the form of any ointments or powders containing clotrimazole applied locally on affected sites help treat the infection. However it works best only when the affected areas are also kept dry by wearing loose fitting and cotton fabrics and avoiding synthetic clothes especially undergarments. Hopefully this should help and avoid the need for oral medication. But if this also does not help you can take oral fluconazole tablets.
