Itchy Red Rash Breakout Post Intake Of Lisinopril, Been Taking It Since A Year. Cause?
Hello,
I have been on Lisinopril 20 mg daily for over a year now. The last 2 days within 2 hours of taking my dose I have broken out with a raised rash that burns and is itchy. Is it possible to develop an allergic reaction this late after initiation of the medication without any prior problems? There have been no other medication or soap/ lotion, ect... changes?
Hello, Thanks for the query. yes it can be due to lisinopril. Drug reaction can occur any time, not necessary that it occurs with first dose only. please meet your physician. drug dose need to be titrated. or may be a change in drug
