Itchy Vagina, Irritated, Brown Discharge, Itchiness, Redness, Had Thrush. What Is Going On?

Hi, I recently had foreplay over the weekend, no sex was involved. The next evening the inside of my vagina it really itchy and very irritating. I noticed when i went to the toilet there was brownish blood on tissue. I am due on my period so not sure if it is that? Last two days have still been irritating and itchy, not very sore but the blood on tissue is now more of a red colour, so I do think that could be my period? But why is it itchy? I have had thrush years ago before so not sure if this is it, as thrush was a lot more painful than this. thanks

OBGYN 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for the query.
Some women may have scanty flow during the early days of periods.
So you wait and watch for one more day, if the bleeding does not increase and itching continues better to consult gynecologist once and get examined to rule out any possibilities like abrasions over the vagina or infection etc.
Depending on the examination findings go for treatment.
