I've Been Having "Hot Flashes" At Night. I'm 48 Yrs

I've been having "Hot Flashes" at night. I'm 48 yrs old and Perimenopausal. I've been an OB RN for 25 yrs, I understand Menopause. What I don't quite understand, is that I always seem to have a Hot Flash when I change positions in bed. It doesn't happen Every time but So Frequently that I'm surprised when I don't have one. I was just Dx with NDPH (New Daily Persistent Headaches) in September by the Head of Neurology at Cleveland Clinic. (I'm scheduled to see a Vascular Med Specialist at Cleveland and a NeuroSurgeon from Mayo Clinic in AZ since they are a bit puzzled from the occlusion, headaches and joint laxity) I had an MRI just to rule out anything "odd" after that Dx and although they didn't expect to find anything, they discovered my Vertebral Artery was completely Occluded. After 8 MRI's MRA's and CT Angio's... they have not been able to determine if I've had a Dissection or not. I'm just wondering if something Neurological could be causing these "Hot Flashes" since they are so consistent with Position Change instead of just Menopausal. I'm active, healthy, have a BMI of 20 and as an RN, I'm NOT making a very good patient! I just don't get sick!! Any ideas would be appreciated!!
