I've Just Come Off A Short Course Of Prednisone. I

I've just come off a short course of Prednisone. I hate being on it. Unfortunately, I have had Temperal Arthritis in the past. My sed rate goes down when I take Prednisone, but unfortunately goes right back up when I stop taking it. My rate is now at 32. What should I do? I should mention, I am also on Coumadin for a blood condition called factor 5. i have had 4 pulmonary embolisms in the past. I guess I am lucky to be alive. I should mention I had a Stroke back 4 years ago and 2 years ago had a Mesinteric Eskemia (?) operation. I am managing fairly well from both of those. Actually the Drs. say i am a miracle. I am most worried now about my Sed rate and the possibility of have to take Prednisone again. My most pressing question now, is about the Sed rate that continues to haunt me. How can I bring it down?
