I've Taken Effecer Since The 1990's And Am Having Trouble

I've taken effecer since the 1990's and am having trouble with energy and over sleeping . My doctor has sent in a perscription to my druggist for abilify. I don't have bipolar depression. I have chronic depression. I took Elavil from the 1970's onward and in the 1980's my body balanced it (so they said) and I tried to commit suicide. Then they gave me effexer. Now I am sleeping 12 or more hours a day so they'v eprescribe this. What are the side effects and things I should look out for.
