dear friend.
thanks for sharing your concern.
impacted third molar (partially or completely erupted) leads to infection called PERI CORONITIS.
as there is inadequate space in the jaw for the tooth to erupt, it takes alternate path way. while sometimes remain embedded or impacted in the jaw.
on viewing the
x ray it becomes absolutely clear whether the tooth is placed vertically, horizontally mesially, distally, lingually or angulated.
that is the time when the
dentist has to decide how to go about its extraction. so that with minimal bone damage and minimal trauma to tissues. tooth can be surgically removed.
this procedure is carried out under local anaesthesia. after that to prevent any further infection anti biotic and analsegic coverage is given.
i have explained you the complete procedure regarding the extraction of your wisdom tooth.
in my view i would say get the tooth extracted as it is of no value either functionally or esthetically.
you can also go for
second opinion if you want
regarding tooth no 6 & 7 think twice before getting it removed, because they are fuctionally and esthetically required.
try to save them by appropriate treatment.
hope i am amply clear to you.
thanks.
