Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Just got home from er for gall bladder attack. It says on report gallbladder adequately distended but scan is satisfactory. Then doc says I had an attack (second time now) and I should definitely follow up with surgeon within a few days for disida scan. Pain for three days now and even got morohine iv and now on lortab and it's not helping. Liver looks good. But after the first attack I was misdiagnosed with plesary which he now thinks the fluid seen on that ultrasound was due to inflamed gallbladder. Not sure how to read my bloodwork but liver enzymes were great. Basically I want to know what adequate distension of my GB means? Should it be distended at all or is that why I'm having the attacks? And and such a rush to see my surgeon writhing 2 days if this was relayed to me as non emergency?
