Just Had Spotting After Taking Duphastone For Delayed Period. Should I Expect Normal Periods After Taking Double Dose?

Hi ,I am 44yrs old .i hv inquiry regarding my monthly periods. Last month I got my regular cycle and flow and few months back had delay in periods for two months for which doctor prescribed me to take duphaston .On taking that I got my periods regular for following months.I got my periods on 1st of jan 2014 but just saw a spotting ,I waited but flow didn t start for another 4 days.On 3rd day of my period I took duphaston twice a day for 5 days . Would like to know is that normal will get my periods after this or I am facing menopause?

Hi,
From history it seems that you might be having pre-menopausal stage where period becomes irregular, more bleeding or less due to hormonal imbalance taking place at this age.
Even though irregular period is there, risk of having pregnancy is there.
