Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
K I went to a dentist today... looks like I have an inflamed tooth went to endontist and after about 7 injections my tooth was still too sensitive to do any drilling. I could still feel.. So doc then gave me Methylpredisolone to take for 6 days... with the believe that it would reduce the infection so then the anisthethic injections would work. That does not make sense to me... but of course I will go ahead and take it... I read the paper that came with it and it says nothing about that it should be used to relieve pain so endontist can drill.. Just confused. Never had a tooth ache in my life... This is very painful after about 5 injections my tooth was still sensitive.... Should she have done something else? She said this would reduce inflammation and then the injections would work... Yet I read the paper in these pills and it sounds like a long shot. This problems with this drug are scary too.
