General & Family Physician 's  Response
Dear Kunchala,

According to the guidelines by WHO (World Health Organization) a deep injury due to dog bite on the lips is considered as severe (category 3) & should be treated with:
1. Wound management
2. Anti-rabies vaccine
3. Rabies immunoglobulin

The management as received by your child is:
1. T.T injection is given to prevent development of tetanus
2. Biotax 250 is an antibiotic, to prevent secondary bacterial infection of the wound.
3. Rabipur is the anti-Rabies vaccine
4. Berirab P is the immunoglobulin

So, the medications given by the Pediatrician are correct.
There is no need to worry, your son will be fine.
Just make sure that he receives the complete schedule of vaccines & immunoglobulins.

Wishing your son a good health.
Take care

General & Family Physician Dr. Vakul Aren's  Response
The child needs Human Immunoglobulin serum(HRIG ) for infiltration at the site of the bite and intramuscularly urgently at a dose of 20 units per KG body weight. The wound needs to be washed thoroughly with soap and water and apposition by minimal stitches needs to be done after the immunoglobulin serum has been injected locally at the site.Adequate antibiotic cover,Tetanus immunoglobulin if the tetanus vaccination is not upto date is required to prevent tetanus which can be as deadly as rabies.Rabipur should be continued as advised on Day 3,7,14,28.Analgesics can be given as required.
