Kidney Stones, Enlarged Liver, Spleen, Not A Heavy Drinker. Causes For Conditions?
My son is 38 years old. He recently passed several kidney stones . The doctor now says that his liver enzymes are in the 300 range, he has enlarged liver and slightly enlarged spleen and there is pain associated with it. He is not a heavy drinker. He is a bridge builder and is in good physical condition. Could the kidney stones be the cause of the other symptoms?
Hi Thanks for the query. Kidney stones can cause loin pain which can radiate down. However they do not cause an elevation in liver enzyme levels or an enlarged liver or spleen. The physician needs to do more tests to determine the cause of these. Hope this helps Good luck.
