Knee Injury, Soreness, Purple Discoloration, Ankle Swelling. Home Remedy To Prevent Swelling?

yes i fell 7 days ago and landed on both knees really hard i weigh 240 lbs they were sore for a few days and turned black and purple last night my ankles started sewlling i elevated them and the swelling whent down some but not all the way had to work and the swelling started again i dont have insurance to go to a doctor is there anything i can do at home to get rid of this

Thanks for posting your query.

Rest and protect an injured or sore area. When resting, place a small pillow under your knee.
Ice will reduce pain and swelling. Apply ice or cold pack for 10 to 20 minutes,3 or more times a day.
Compression, or wrapping the injured or sore area with an elastic bandage will help decrease swelling.
Elevate the injured or sore area on pillows while applying ice and anytime you are sitting or lying down.
There are many vitamins and natural supplements you can take to help rebuild cartilage and increase blood flow.

HI
The discoloration after fall is a normal process. The swelling of ankles that responded to elevation indicates accumulation of fluid inside. If you are hypertensive or diabetic you must consult doctor. Otherwise turmeric in hot milk to be taken internally application of dry heat at knee and elevation of leg at bed time will give good relief.
