Knee Pain, Done Skipping. Remedy?

I have both knee joint pains since past three days which might occur by skip ropping that I started lately since ten days ago or due to cooler AC air (we live hills we do we are not used to AC air) which was getting directly on my both calfs continously for four days from a mere distance of four to five feetwhere I had to go for official work on my HQ Boss's chamber. I had Hot water bagged on my calf for the day before yesterday with oil messaging, icing on the paining joints yesterday and again oiled the paining joints today with Knee capping it. though the pain had reduced it is still there.
Sir please suggest.

Orthopaedic Surgeon, Joint Replacement 's  Response
Hi, thanks for writing to HCM.

From the description, I feel that your symptoms are related to overuse of your knee joints (in the form of skipping). This is self limiting and usually resolves spontaneously with the following measures -

• Rest – stop the activity that caused the injury, and rest the injured joint or muscle. Avoid activity for the first 48 to 72 hours.
• Ice – for the first 48 to 72 hours after the injury, apply ice wrapped in a damp towel to the injured area for 15 to 20 minutes every two to three hours during the day.
• Elevation – keep the injured area raised and supported on a pillow to help reduce swelling.
• Moist heat application - Before activities, gentle heating can help loosen the muscle. Apply a heat pack prior to exercising. As a general rule of thumb, remember to heat before an activity and ice afterwards
• Oral anti-inflammatory medications (such as Aleve or Motrin) can help relieve symptoms of pain and also calm the inflammation.

Hope this information is helpful. Good day
