Knee Pain, Prescribed Calcium Tablets, Unable To Walk Or Climb Stairs. Pain Management?
I am a 34 years old female suffering from knee pain . I was prescribed a calcium tablet once a day. I am unable to go for walks and at work, climbing stairs hurts me. Kindly suggest some simple exercises which can be performed at work. I am a vegetarian and take two glasses of milk a day and curd (3-4 times a week). How can knee pain be managed?

Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
I will suggest you some simple knee exercise which helps in strengthening muscles around knee.
Lift your legs. Do some straight leg lifts. This will help strengthen the quadriceps (front thigh) muscles that support the knees, which may ease knee pain.
Pull your heels. Sitting in your desk chair with your heels on the floor, lift your toes and pull back on your heels until you feel tension in your hamstrings. Hold for 10 seconds. Strengthening hamstrings can help stabilize the knee, relieving pain.
Squeeze your thighs. While sitting in your chair, put your fist between your knees and squeeze your knees together. Hold for a count of 10.
Let me know if you have any more concerns
Regards.
