Knuckle Pain In Ring Finger, Soreness, Swelling, Veins Turned Purple. Worry?

about a week ago my knuckle on my right ring finger started hurting out of nowhere, very suddenly. It has a sore, swollen feeling to it, but as far as I can tell, isn't really swollen. I just noticed that the veins on either side of the knuckle are turning purple, is this something I should be worried about (I'm 28, pretty active).

Hi.
Thanks for writing us.
From description swelling and pain seems to be inflammatory in nature. You can take antiinflammatory drug like ibuprofen to reduce pain and inflammation. I suggest you to get it evaluated by your doctor to rule out any infective pathology.
Hope this helps you.
