Hello and welcome to HCM,
Erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) is a non-specific test.
It is raised in any inflammation in the body especially in chronic inflammations.
A preceding history of Lyme's disease can be the cause of chronic inflammation and thus raised ESR.
ESR is a useful marker for follow up of chronic inflammations.
As the titre for Lyme's disease will fall, the value of ESR will fall.
Continue the treatment for Lyme's disease.
The normal value for ESR in males is below 10 mm in 1st hour and is below 20 mm in 1st hour in females.

thanks and take care
