Large Bruise Formed On Ankle After Being Hit. Any Need Of Taking X-ray?

Hello I am doing a school production and whilst I was going downstairs to the dressing rooms a piece of the banister fell off and hit the inside bone of my right ankle. The swelling has gone down but there is a large bruise forming and I can't put any weight on it. Should I wait and see how it goes or would you recommend going to get an XRay ASAP?

Hi,
It could be soft tissue injury or fracture. Swelling seems to be due to haematoma formation. Without xray it is difficult to differentiate fracture from soft tissue injury.
I suggest you to go for xray and consult orthopaedician.
meanwhile avoid putting weight.
