Lean Kid With Bulging Stomach, Bad Breath And Irregular Passage Of Stool. Is This Normal?

Hi,

My 5 yr old son eats well and an active kid. But only his stomach is bulged out from his body. He weighs 16.5 kg and height 109 cm. His body looks thin and stomach is out. When he stand it looks very odd. He got bad breath too. He pass stool once in two days or three. Drinks water of minimum half litre . please advice.

Bulging stomach in children could be normal as visceroptosis is common at this age. Also the distension could be due to bowel involvement, aerophagia during feeding, costipation etc. Please meet a paediatrician nearby to rule out if its a normal distension seen in healthy children or due to some underlying cause.
