Left Arm Not Functioning After Being Treated For Flu. Reason?

I have a male friend that has been ill for a good 3 weeks. He is 55 yrs. old. He's in great shape. He does not drink or smoke or does drugs. He had the flu so bad he went to emergency in Orlando. The Dr. just gave him pain pills & said go home. He called me today & said everything cleared up except his left arm is not functioning well. He said he is worried because his left arm only works about 20&. He can not even touch his nose with his endex finger & he called me to ask me what to do. So I got o line to ask you.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello user,
I don't think flu has caused non functioning of his arms, he might have been suffering from other disease which is related to nerves or any bone problem.

You are rather advised to contact his treating doctor to get more info abut cause of nonmovement of his hand.

hope my info helped you
