Left Hip Pains While Walking. Left Leg Collapsed While Climbing Stairs. Has Fell Down Stairs. Advise?
After falling down the stairs 5 years ago I've had a weak left ankle but recently my left hip has been hurting while I walk or go up stairs but not down stairs and about 2 hours ago my left leg collapsed while i was walking up the stairs, now after pain killers have taken effect it is back to normal. any ideas what it can be?
Hi and thanks for the query, you might to consult to exclude something more serious complication in case symptoms persist or intensify. This is because if pain is aggravating, its worth investigating. Are you feeling pain in other regions of the body or not? Its good the pain killers have alleviated the pain. It might however be useful to watch out for any unusual signs and symptoms like limping or intensification of the pain. This might then deserve a more critical review and at times an X ray. For now, I suggest you remain calm, avoid traumatizing the area and observe for any unusual signs, persistence or aggravation of the pain. Thanks and best regards, Luchuo, MD.
