Leg Fracture. Was Wrapped. Why Is It Paining After Plaster Is Removed?

Hello, My name is ANSHUMAN JHA. I am 27 yrs old. Two years ago i got my right leg factured ( ankle). For about 4 months my led was warapped with plaster . After that my plaster was removed and i was fine. Recently last year my leg pain started from the same place where i got factured. I consulted with the doctors, they told for Xray , i took Xray but they were not able to find out the exact problem. Then one of the doctor told me to go for MRI scan of leg. But as MRI scan is very costly so i cannot afford to do it. Still pain use to be there in my leg. Can you please suggest me what to do.

Hello and thanks for the query
The problem you are facing may be the complication of the fracture or a fresh problem. To rule out the cause X-ray and CT or MRI is needed. It may be Arthritis, Tuberculosis of bone or other tissue related issue. If you have finance related issue than you can do your MRI in govt. hospital or in any Charitable trust where its cost is very less but you may have to wait for your turn. Till you get your MRI follow some precautions:
1. Avoid lot of walking or weight bearing on ankle.
2. Do regular hot fermentation of your ankle.
3. Wear ankle cap or crepe bandage almost all the time.
4. Use special shoe which are upto 1/3 of the leg to support the ankle joint.
5. Take analgesic and apply diclo gel locally in severe pain.
Hope this will help you in reducing pain.
Best Wishes
