Leg Injury, Large Bruise, Swelling, Walking On Toes. Iced And Elevated It. Treatment?
I am a 44 year old woman and was hit in the lower inside part of my leg by a line drive at my son s baseball game. It hurts like heck and has a big bruise and is swollen despite the fact that I ve iced it and have it elevated. I can walk but have to use my tippy toes on that foot . How long will it hurt? I assume there s no fracture or I d not be able to walk, right?

Hello susie,
Thanks for posting your query
You had injury over your lower part of leg, following that it is swollen & tender to touch.
hi...situation like this should never be ignored...you might be suffering from hairline fracture of your leg bone which might be undisplaced....no intention of making you scare, but at the same time one should be conscious as not every fracture leads to inability to walk, may lead to swelling, redness or intense pain. i would suggest you to see an orthopaedician and get an x-ray done to rule out any fracture.if it comes out to be a soft tissue injury, then no worry...you will be fine within 3 weaks...all the best.

Leg Injury, Large Bruise, Swelling, Walking On Toes. Iced And Elevated It. Treatment?
Hello susie, Thanks for posting your query You had injury over your lower part of leg, following that it is swollen & tender to touch. It might be a soft tissue injury or a fracture because you are not able to put your weight fully. So you need a x-ray to rule out any fracture. Regards.
