hi,may i know the side effect of torvate 500.taking from last 7 to years. paitient of high B.P., URIC ACID ,SLEEPING PROBLEM,DEPRATION.LATUST REPORT- SINUS BRADYCARDIA .DONT KNOW ABOUT THIS.TAKING-TORVATE 500-TWICE DAILY.AMLOPRESS AT-ONCE DAILY,ZYLORIC 100-ONCE,ECOSPRIN 75-ONCE AT NIGHT,TRAPEX 2-ONCE.LAST FEW MONTHS SOME TIME HAVING SWELLING IN LEG.CAN U SUGGEST WHAT TO DO.

Torvate (sodium valproate) is a safe and effective medication, used in treating migraine, epilepsy and mood disorders.

The common side effects include weight gain, tremors (shivering) of hands and hair loss. In very rare cases, it can lead to liver damage.

Swelling in your leg is most likely due to Amlopress (Amlodipine), the medicine for high BP.
