Hi,

I do not understand where exactly the swelling occurs. Is the swelling occuring on the leg or in some other location? I like to tell you that having mild jerky movements is normal while a person is going to sleep. If he is having jerkiness to the extent of it being severe, then it is possible that he has seizure disorder. For this he would need to take anti seizure medication and consult a neurologist. I hope this helps you.
